2020 Event Details - Nov 7th - 15th at 5701 Preston Rd, Plano, TX 75093

In the interest of public safety, the 2020 Event will be both in person and virtual.

 

We will stream virtual programs daily throughout the week.

We are putting the flags up on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11th.  The flags will remain in place through Sunday, November 15th.  

You may stop by any time to walk through the flags and pay tribute.  The flags will be spaced 10 ft. apart. Precautions are being taken to maintain saftety for all. We will follow the guidelines and laws that are in place at the time of the event in the interest of Public Safety. Please see the schedule below for both in person and virtual daily programs.

2020 Plano Flags of Honor - Event Schedule

 

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH
  • 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Plano Flags of Honor Veterans Open Ride - Motorcycle Riders from all over will meet at the field to kick off the 2020 Event. We will raise the first flag, Air National Guard Msgt Ericka Stevens and Msgt Shonda Mashburn will sing the National Anthem and we will hand out 8x12 American Flags provided by Capital One to riders before they depart to Harley Davidson Black and Gold in Allen.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH
  • Veterans Day
  • 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 Flags are installed (volunteer to help on the volunteer tab)
  • 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.  In Person and Virtual Rotary Meeting to honor Veterans in our Collin County Clubs.  American Legion Post 321 to present colors, Congressman Taylor to speak, Program provided by Paul Hendricks of the Collin County Veterans Coalition, we will also be streaming video throughout the event. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13TH
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH
  • Musical performances by Ladies Liberty and the Salvation Army Band.  This will be come and go.  Hear some fabulous patriotic music, walk through the flags and pay tribute.    
    • 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. Salvation Army Band
    • 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. Ladies Liberty Show Troupe - 1940's - 2000's Americana & Patriotic Show
    • 5:15 p.m.           American Legion Post 321 to perform taps and gun salute at dusk
